You mention Egypt, and the jaw-dropping pyramids and iconic sphinx come to mind; no wonder Egypt seems to be on everyone’s bucket list. We start the trip in Cairo and then fly to Luxor, where we explore both the West and East banks of the Nile, experiencing the scale and grandeur of the monuments that have survived from ancient Thebes.
We will spend the week on our private felucca (Egyptian sailboat) with dreamy red and white sails. The staff will treat us royally, and we will eat and drink for the next week while sailing down the Nile, docking for daily adventures.
We end our adventure by flying to Jordan, where we will have a day trip to the lost city of Petra with our local Bedouin guide.
