Arm candy

Some more treasures from my trip to Kenya.  I loved the patterns and textures of the beadwork. Of course, I managed to stick to my black and white color scheme with my collection!

Magazines

Traveling for hours and hours and sitting in so many planes, airports and cars can get boring really fast. I had to pick up STACKS of foreign design magazines last week while traveling.  The woman at Heathrow gave me a very strange look and asked, “why so many?”  Looking at the beautiful pages helped the […]

A confession

I must confess – I love ice cream.  There: I said it.  Something about a little bowl at the end of the day (trust me- I would love nothing more than to take a whole container with a spoon and eat it all in one sitting- but that wouldn’t make it a treat now, would […]

Astier

I have to be honest, I am really obsessed with the whole line from Astier – and I have been for quite some time. I am slowly working on a great collection of pottery and can’t get enough of any of their candles. There was something about the shape and irregularity of this platter that said “Take […]

Diptyque candles

It is no secret that I adore Diptyque candles.  When they are finished burning, I clean them out and use them for water or wine glasses or simple bud vases.  I love the smell of paperwhites this time of year- just scattering them around my living room in these Diptyque glasses makes me smile.

I had to share one of my favorite pairs of socks with you.  I just love the cute little reminder of what day of the week it is.  I had a set of socks like this growing up too. Now if I can just keep them away from the “missing sock” monster that eats the […]

Pulling the plug

For a variety of reasons, I recently canceled cable TV and switched over to Apple TV, where I can rent TV shows and movies and stream Netflix. One of the ideas behind my pulling the plug (literally, in this case) is that I felt that I spent too much time watching things that I didn’t […]

Greetings

Campbell and Wallace just wanted to say hi!  They recently got groomed for the holidays (well, I missed Christmas but was in time for New Year.).  As you can see, they’re enjoyed lots of sleepy hours lounging this winter.

Happy New Year!

On my way back to the office after a meeting a few weeks ago, I decided to stop at the beach and enjoy my lunch and a few moments of relaxation.  (It was a hectic holiday season with many amazing client projects that needed some final touches for the New Year.)  It was pouring down […]

Why pine trees?

I love the fiddle leaf tree so much that I have two of them. Just was thinking the other day- wouldn’t it be fun to decorate one for the holidays? I don’t typically put up a tree but now I am wondering if I should jump into the season and try something totally new by […]
